Root Cause Analyis Lead

The mission of a Root Cause Analysis Lead is to lead investigations of complex technical issues to identify events from occurring in the future, or to reduce the consequences if it does. To understand the true cause of the problem it is crucial to allow a solution to be developed to solve the real issue and not only a cure for the symptoms. 

Performing RCA:s of high quality, within agreed time schedule and to communicate the status and results is of high importance to achieve good technical responsiveness towards our customers and efficient resolving of product issues to ensure high product KPI:s and low non-conformance costs.   


You will:

  • Set up a suitable RCA-team for the problem by requesting needed competences and resources. 

  • Lead the RCA investigation in a structured way and guide the RCA-team through the selected RCA meth-odology that best fits the problem. 

  • Ensure proper administration and moderation of Root Cause Analysis sessions and workshops. 

  • Coordinates technical interface between different engineering disciplines.

  • Conduct reviews and ensure that the investigation and report are following a decided review process. 

  • With support of an RCA-team of experts and their own technical know-how investigate a product issue for an issue to find the root cause.

  • Align RCA scope, deliverables, schedule, budget with stakeholders and follow up progress including report deviation.   

  • Document the ongoing RCA work and ensure final documentations in the decided system.

  • Provide status reports of the investigation to external customers and internally. 

  • Be part RCA process development for used tools and methodology. 

  • Ensure that identified improvements opportunities/ or new issues require further investigation for a specific unit of product standard / fleet is handed over to responsible function. 



Qualification for the RCA-lead role:

  • A master of science degree or corresponding knowledge.

  • Good project management and leadership skills.

  • A good overall gas turbine and general technical engineering knowledge.

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both in verbal and written.

  • Good commercial and legal understanding related to customer communication.
